Behrend Women's Tennis Makes it Five in a Row

The Penn State Behrend Lions have gone a combined 43-2 in individual and doubles matches against the competition in their five match winning streak.  The Behrend Lions improved to 13-2 on the year with a decisive win over the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets.

The blue and white handled the Yellow Jackets 9-0.  The Behrend Lions combined to loss only 11 games on their way to victory.  Hillary Lasher (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern) and Allison Quigley (Gibsonia/Hampton) teamed up to win third doubles.  In singles action Steph Cattron (Greenville/Commodore Perry) and Arica Christman (Sharon/Sharon) both came out with solid victories.

The women's tennis team will be back again on October 6th when they take on Pitt-Bradford.  The match will be held at the Behrend Courts beginning at 4:00 p.m.  The blue and white have three matches left before the AMCC tournament, which is held on the weekend of October 18th.  The Behrend Lions will look to capture its seventh AMCC championship.
