Christman Named AMCC and ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR Athelete of the Week

State Behrend freshman Arica Christman (Sharon/Sharon) has been named the
ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR athlete of the week for the week of October 20,
2008.
Christman led the Behrend Lions over the weekend to their fourth straight
AMCC title. Christman took the number one singles title 6-3 and 6-1.
She then went on to win the number two doubles with teammate Stephanie
Cattron (Greenville/Commodore Perry) 8-5. They
beat number one Frostburg to capture the title.
Christman also earned the AMCC Tennis
Player of the Week after her championship performance.
The Behrend Lions swept the individual singles titles and won two of three
doubles crowns en route to a convincing defense of their AMCC women's tennis
title. The blue and white have captured eight of the eleven AMCC
championships.
The scoring breakdown of the championship was Penn State Behrend in first
with 26 points, Frostburg posted 15, Penn State Altoona logged 12, La Roche
had six points and Pitt-Bradford tallied four.
