Behrend Volleyball Blows Away the Storm in Three Straight

Women's volleyball got back to their winning ways Tuesday, October 3, dismantling Lake Erie in three straight games 30-25, 30-20, 30-19.  Behrend improves to 16-1 overall and remains perfect in the AMCC at 4-0.

Once again it was Elaine Voltz (Saxonburg/Knoch) who set the pace of the game for the blue and white on offense with eight kills.  Brittney Hennessey (Hopewell/Hopewell) spearheaded the defensive effort, tallying 16 digs.  Also chipping in big was Lisa Wagner (New Castle/Laurel), who had six kills and 10 digs.  Freshman setter Brooke Gallentine (Mt. Pleasant/Southmoreland) had 21 assists on the night.

The women will be back on the court Friday, October 6 as they head down to Washington D.C. to take part in the Gallaudet Tournament.  Behrend is back home on October 10 when the Fredonia Blue Devils come into town.
