Men's Water Polo Players Named to 2007 CWPA All-Academic Team
Athletes were recognized in three different categories, based on their most recent grades posted through the 2007-08 fall semester. Landing a spot in the superior category, which ranges from 3.71 to 3.4, was Keith Yeagle (Warren/Warren) and Nicholas Lowrie (Corona, CA/Santiago). Yeagle was a key asset in goal for the Behrend Lions, making 235 saves in the 2007 season. Lowrie played in all 27 games for the blue and white, scoring seven goals. Senior Anthony Spoto (Birmingham, MI/Birmingham) fell into the Excellent category with an average between 3.4 and 3.2. The senior leaves the blue and white as the all-time goal scorer, racking up 276 over his four years at Behrend. Sophomore Jacob Bernstein (Sierra Madre, CA/Pasadena) and freshman Keith Meehan (Erie/McDowell) made the grades to fall into this category as well. |
