Behrend Ups Home Record to 7-1 With 83-38 Dismantling of Hilbert
Behrend forced 36 turnovers and limited the Hawks (5-10, 4-5) to 35% from the field, while Behrend's defense collected 26 steals as they improved to 9-6 overall and 6-3 in the AMCC. Behrend's halftime advantage was only 11, but a 19-1 run to open the second half immediately put the game out of reach. Julia Andrews (Corry/Corry) came off the bench with another strong performance to lead all scorers with 16 points and four steals. Forward Rachel Slomski (Erie/McDowell) hit for 15 points on 7 x 10 from the floor and also grabbed three steals, while Brittany Mays (Knox/Keystone) and Natalie Engel (McDonald/Fort Cherry) added 14 and 13 points respectively. Offensively, the blue and white dished out 25 assists while shooting 54% from the field. The Hawks were led by Lindsay Bergman and Autumn Lee-Jeffries with 10 apiece.

(10-4, 6-2), followed by Saturday's game against Pitt-Greensburg (11-4, 7-1)
at 4:00 p.m. Then on Tuesday, January 31, the Medaille Mavericks (13-1, 8-0)
travel to the Junker for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off. |
