Behrend Women drop AMCC contest to Pitt-Greensburg 65-51

The Behrend Lions fell to visiting Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday 65-51.  The loss dropped Behrend to 10-7 on the season and 7-4 in the AMCC.

Pitt-Greensburg led 28-25 at the break after a close first half of action.  In the opening 20 minutes neither team led by more than four points and the game saw five tie scores.  However, Pitt-Greensburg outscored Behrend by 11 points in the second half to pull away for the road victory. 
 
Junior Rachel Slomski (Erie/McDowell) scored ten points and grabbed six rebounds, while junior Brittany Mays (Keystone/Knoch) added ten points on four-of-nine shooting.

Teya Minor led Pitt-Greensburg with 20 points including 12 in the first half.

Penn State Behrend concludes its four game homestand on Tuesday, January 31, when the Medaille Mavericks (13-1, 8-0) travel to the Junker for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.
