Behrend's Mays Named AMCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Penn State Behrend women's basketball
player Brittany Mays (Knox/Keystone) has been named the AMCC Women's
Basketball Player of the Week on January 15. The senior led the
Behrend Lions to a 2-0 week, including a win over the nationally ranked
Medaille Mavericks on January 10 in the Junker Center.
Mays 17 points and nine rebounds in the one-point win over #23 Medaille.
She followed that up by going for 16 points and nine rebounds against the La
Roche Redhawks on January 13. On the season, Mays ranks sixth in the
league in scoring (14.4 ppg), ninth in rebounding (7.2 rpg), and fifth in
steals (2.6 spg).
The blue and white now sit at 11-2 overall and 6-1 in the AMCC.
Behrend
goes on the road on
Monday, January 15 to take on AMCC rival Pitt-Bradford
at 6:00 p.m. Behrend returns home on Thursday, January 18 to battle
Lake Erie.
