Brittany Mays Eclipses the 1,000 Point Mark, Keeps Women Rolling

Behrend women's basketball star Brittany Mays (Keystone/Knox) broke the 1,000 point barrier Wednesday night, January 24 when she dropped 16 points on 8 x 14 shooting, and hauled down 12 rebounds in an easy 79-53 win against Mt. Aloysius.  Mays now sits at eighth all-time in points at Behrend with 1,010.  Seventh place is held by Jen O'Lare who had 1,043 from 1997-01.  Erin Phillips is the all-time leading scorer at Behrend with 1,581 points.

Mays also figures to leave her name several other places in the Behrend books.  She is currently twelfth all-time in field goal percentage, shooting .463 from the floor in her career.  Her 558 rebounds have her at eighth all-time and soon she will reach seventh-place Anne Bonner at 559.

Mays and company have the women on a twelve game tear.  They are in action again on January 27, when they will travel to Pitt-Greensburg.
