Behrend women's basketball extended their unbeaten streak to 15 games on Saturday, February 3 when they put away Penn State Altoona 79-40.

Behrend came out with a determined defense that smothered Altoona.  The women went into the break up by 15 after holding the Altoona Lions to just 19 first-half points on 7-23 shooting.  Victoria Innes (Erie/McDowell) finished the half with 10 points and three boards and was the only player in double-digits.

The blue and white blew the game wide open after starting the second half with a tremendous 25-0 run.  The Behrend defense continued to give Altoona problems, holding them scoreless through the first nine minutes of the second half.

Four Behrend women ended in double figures including Meagan Bielanin (Erie/Mercyhurst Prep) who finished with 10 points, five boards, and three steals and Brittany Mays (Keystone/Knox) who led all scorers with 15 to go along with three rebounds and three assists.  The women shot 47% for the night while holding Altoona to a dismal 27%.
