Lacy Named AMCC Goalkeeper and ECAC Defensive Player of the Week

Penn State Behrend junior Beth Lacy (Erie/Harborcreek) has been named the AMCC goalie of the week as well as the ECAC South defensive player of the week. for the week of October 13, 2008.

In a two-win week for the Behrend Lions, Lacy was between the pipes for both, holding two AMCC opponents scoreless. She made 2 saves in a 4-0 win over Franciscan, then had 3 stops in a 6-0 victory over Pitt-Greensburg. She has allowed just 8 goals in 7 games for a 1.12 GAA for the Penn State Behrend Lions.

Lacy has started six games for the blue and white while two of those are shutouts.  She has compiled a record of 3-1 in conference play. 

After the two win week the blue and white are now 4-8-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.  The blue and white will be on the road for their next two games taking on Pitt-Bradford on October 14th and Frostburg State on October 18th.  The Behrend Lions will be back on the Behrend Fields on October 22nd against Hilbert.
