2008 Council of Fellows Faculty Excellence in Outreach Award

Instructions for Submission of Nominations

Purpose:  The Penn State Behrend Council of Fellows Excellence in Outreach Award was established in 2000 to recognize that faculty member who in the opinion of students, colleagues, and community leaders most truly embodies the outreach mission of the college, the community, and an academic profession.  Click here for definitions of outreach.

Eligibility:  Any faculty member who has completed two years or more of continuous full-time undergraduate or graduate teaching and/or research service at Penn State Behrend as of the judging date is eligible.  Previous recipients are ineligible for a period of three years.  Previous recipients of this award include:  Kathleen Noce (2005), Frank DeWolf (2006), and Mary Beth Pinto (2007).

Nomination and Selection Procedure:  Any member of the student body, faculty, administration, or an officially recognized student organization of the college may nominate someone for the award.  In addition, community and professional leaders may nominate faculty members for the award.

Nominations must be submitted to the Chancellor's Office by March 19, 2008.  The Chancellor's Office is located on the first floor of Glenhill Farmhouse.  Nominations can also be mailed as follows: Chancellor's Office, Penn State Behrend, 4701 College Drive, Erie, PA 16563.

The nomination form can also be submitted via the Web by using the online nomination formThe curriculum vitae can be forwarded to the Chancellor's Office.  A nomination must include the official nomination form, nomination statement, and candidate's curriculum vitae.

The College Research Committee will select the award recipient from among all nominees.
