2008 Council of Fellows Faculty Research Award

Instructions for Submission of Nominations

Purpose:  The Penn State Behrend Council of Fellows established this award in January 1982 to recognize that faculty member who, in the opinion of his/her peers, truly fills the role of an inspired, dedicated researcher at Penn State Behrend.

Eligibility:  Any full-time faculty member who has completed two years or more of continuous full-time service is eligible for this award.  Previous recipients of the award are ineligible for a period of three years.  Previous recipients of this award include:   Darren Williams (2005), Thomas Hemminger (2006), and John Roth (2007).

Nomination and Selection Procedure:  School directors shall solicit nominations annually from their respective faculty members.   In addition to these nominations, any full-time faculty member of the college may nominate a colleague for the award.   Self-nomination is not permitted.   All nominations must be submitted to the College Research Committee via a school director.   Nominations must include a completed nomination form, a current vita of the nominee, and a statement summarizing evidence of distinction within the School in research.  The College Research Committee shall select the recipient from the pool of nominees.   The committee’s judgment is based primarily on work accomplished at Penn State Behrend.
