Helping
Students Succeed
President Spanier and CEO and Dean Jack Burke
have expressed concern about student attrition rates, urging faculty
members to make special efforts to look for early signs that
first-year students may need help.
Studies of first-year retention suggest that
dropout behavior usually begins to surface in the first few weeks of
the fall semester. The following list of resources will help Penn
State Behrend faculty members provide students with the direction and
assistance they may need to succeed.
