BURKE NAMED TO CONTINUING EDUCATION TASK FORCE
Dr. Jack D. Burke, campus executive officer and dean of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has been invited to serve on the Task Force on Continuing Education at Penn State. The task force will direct the University in developing a comprehensive, quality, and responsive continuing education program that will advance strategic workforce and economic development priorities across the state.
To accomplish its goals, the task force will review the current structure, relationships, and policies of continuing education at Penn State and recommend enhancements. Its efforts will also include defining continuing education; considering the role of technology in continuing education; identifying the services that can be provided centrally; and identifying models for revenue sharing among colleges when multiple colleges are involved in delivery.
The task force is expected to produce its final report by the end of April 2004.
