Chancellor Emcees Comedy Benefit for Alumni Scholarship
The need for college scholarships is no laughing matter, which is why Dr. Jack Burke, Chancellor of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, will emcee a night of fun and fundraising at Jr.’s Last Laugh Comedy Club, 1402 State St., Erie, next Thursday, May 14.
Burke’s co-host will be WSEE morning anchor and Penn State Behrend alumna Raychel Vendetti. Half the price of each $11 ticket sold that evening benefits the Penn State Behrend Alumni Society Scholarship, as will the proceeds from a 50/50 drawing and a raffle of Penn State-themed gift baskets.
Tom Segura and Joe Larson will be the headliner and featured comedians, respectively. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins at 6:30. For individual tickets or table reservations phone Jr.’s at 814-461-0911. Tickets will be available at the door.
