I love how many close friends I have made and the great times hanging out. I really like that you get to know the people in your classes because they are pretty small.
Kimberly Cass transferred to Penn State Behrend from a large university “because of its good Math program and closeness to home.”
“Behrend is a really friendly campus and if you get involved you will meet a lot more people,” Kim said.
Kim speaks from experience. Her involvement includes being a member of the Math Club, a tutor at a local elementary school, a student worker in the Office of Admissions, and a brother of Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service fraternity.
Modern Algebra was Kim’s favorite class because it was taught by the professor who influenced Kim the most, Dr. Antonella Cupillari, associate professor of mathematics. “Dr. Cupillari really cares about her students’ success,” Kim said.
